Citing Gizmochina, a Xiaomi spokesperson has also responded to this issue. A spokesperson for Xiaomi said that the company is currently operating normally. Xiaomi said it would make further announcements regarding this, if necessary.
While not exactly the same as the situation faced with Huawei, Xiaomi's inclusion on the US blacklist means the company will lose out to US investors according to the latest executive order issued by president Donald Trump.
